Sajou

קופסת שוקולדים וינטאג'ית מצרפת
מתוקה בעצמה
ומה בתוכה? אתם שואלים
A tin box of chocolates from France
It's sweet on it's own
What's in it? You may ask

-ולא רק אתם
And not only you-

,אז זהו
!שדוקא אני רוצה לגלות לכם
יש בתוכה אוסף קטן ומתהווה
I really want to show you:
There is a little collection in progress
של גרמושקות מיניאטוריות
עם דוגמאות צלבים מצרפת
!מלפני כ130 שנה
:אוצר ושמו
Sajou

Of miniature embroidery patterns
from France
Dated around 1880!
A little treasure(or should I say: petit?)
That is called:
Sajou

you're really lucky, till now I was able to buy only one Sajou booklet.

BTW most of Sajou items (booklets, pins, threads, scisors and even post cards) are reproduced again. See their website.

Thank you dear Vivi! It's so great that now, in France, pepole are buying closed old factories and make them alive again! In my last visit in Lile I found a little factory like that, that makes linnen threads. It is so romantic!

Wonder if anyone in Israel, remembers the Leviatan threads similar to DMC mouline ?

Thank you dear Vivi! I wrote the question in the Israeli Embroidery Forum that I manage. Apparently people do remmember (and love) these threads! It made them think of their high school days and it looks it was nice to remmember...
Thank you!
